Pauline Davis Lorfano's educational background includes Maine College of Art, Westbrook College, B.S. in Art education from University of Maine and numerous art workshops. She has taught drawing and painting on the elementary and college level. She continues to paint in her studio in Vienna, Virginia, teach workshops and judge art exhibits in the area. Active in the art community, she serves on the governing boards of a number of local, regional and national art organizations.
She is a signature member of Virginia Watercolor Society, Baltimore Watercolor Society, Potomac Valley Watercolorists, International Society of Marine Painters, Washington Water Color Association, and National League of American Pen Women.
Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States. Mrs Lorfano has had solo shows at Charles Sumner Museum, the National Horticulture Center, U.S. Geological Survey National Center, and the Lawrence Gallery, to name a few. Mrs Lorfano enjoys painting all kinds of subject matter and has always enjoyed painting "plein air". Her versatility in subject matter is evident.
