Concetta C. Scott is an artist who finds her inspiration in the abstract geometry inherent in subjects, both natural and man-made. Color and light are the other factors that are important in her selection of subjects. The technique in all mediums is the thin layering of colors in order to achieve a richness of color.
She graduated from the Moore College of Art and Design, in Philadelphia, and pursued a successful career in Advertising Design and Illustration in Philadelphia and in Washington D.C. She was the Art Director for the Woodward &Lothrop Department Stores for several years. Her works in Advertising Design, Fiber Arts and Painting have been accepted in many regional and national juried shows with recognition. Her paintings are in private and corporate collections.
Her watercolor painting, "Indian Corn", was selected for the North Light Art Book Series, Splash 6. Her works were featured in Elan magazine, issue, October 20. She is listed in Marquis' Who's in America, 2003-2008 issues.
