Artist's Statement

Betty Dunn graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in English and French. She also has a master’s degree in speech pathology from U.Va. She has taken many additional courses in math, painting, computer science, and languages from the Corcoran, GWU, NOVA, USDA Graduate School, UVa, and VCU. She has taught for 28 years altogether. She retired in 2005 from Yorktown High School where she taught math for 21 years. She is currently studying painting, printmaking, and photography at VCU, Northern Virginia. She is primarily interested in light and color, and in connections between art and math.
